Perfect option for private tour of Panama City!
Highly recommend Panama Your Way for anyone visiting this great city! We arranged a private tour for a port day as part of a cruise. Aldo contacted me two days before we arrived to let us know how to reach him and where to meet, which was very appreciated. Aldo took us all around the city, showing us things that typical tour companies would never have time to take larger groups to. His knowledge of the city and history of Panama really made this a fantastic tour. Best Day Ever!!
Ten star review! Forget five star! This was hands down the best tour we have ever taken and we’ve done 25+ cruises! Gabriel is an amazing tour guide and a very special man! He made our day THE most special of any day ever spent on a vacation! We asked to be shown all the military bases and to have a military tour. Gabriel went above and beyond! Thank you Gabriel for everything you did and didn’t have to do! We will see you next year! Until then we will be thinking about you and our special day in Panama with our friend Gabriel! Aldo turned two cruise transfer days into the highlight of our trip
We booked Panama Your Way directly for our Grandeur of the Seas cruise out of Colón, which was a 50th birthday and 25th anniversary trip with friends. Aldo guided us on embarkation day and again on disembarkation day, and both days were excellent. Embarkation day: Aldo picked us up and made an unplanned breakfast stop before heading to the Panama Canal. His timing at the canal was the best part. We watched three ships go through, saw the film, and left just as the tour buses pulled in. Because we’re from Florida, he took us by the FSU Panama campus on the way out, which was a fun surprise. He still had us at the port in time to board by 1 PM and get lunch on the ship. If you’re worried about cutting it close on boarding day, don’t be. He knows the timing. Disembarkation day: A few people in our group were sick when we got off the ship, and Aldo took us straight to a pharmacy without being asked twice. From there we went to Monkey Island and then Casco Viejo. He recommended both our lunch and dinner spots, and both were great. What sets him apart: The day before we disembarked, we got an alert about an earthquake in Panama. Aldo contacted us right away, confirmed the tour was still on, and checked that our hotel could still take us. That kind of follow-through is why you book a private guide instead of a ship excursion. Panama Your Way was professional throughout the process. Their operators were very responsive and helpful in tailoring the tour to our needs and find the best timing. A must-do!
A memorable and must-do day! We loved everything. It is a big day, but not much walking or stairs. We felt safe. Edwing answered our very many questions. The driver was a good driver, the van was clean. The places visited were welcoming. It is extremely hot at the sloth sanctuary and the sloths are few in number, and since they sleep something like 21 hours a day, it was a little less interesting than I thought. I suggest bringing a portable fan for this visit and taking one bottle of water, if not two! I would have liked to know the meeting times, for example for the IMAX movie, or even to be able to push back the rooftop cocktail a bit to spend more time in the old town and visit more shops/merchants/historical sites.
