El Valle offer a lot of other activities such as:

    • Piedra Pintada
Take a walk through the jungle to this volcanic stone, located on the way up to La india dormida, it is one of the enigmatic attractions of El Valle de Antón. Partly because of its large size and partly because of its pre-Columbian petroglyphs. The symbols carved into the rock have uncertain meaning; some indicate that it is a map of the area, others say that they are religious symbols and others think that it is a harvest calendar. This is not the only stone with petroglyphs in El Valle de Antón, but it is the largest and most popular.
    • Orchid Conservation Center
Association of Producers of Orchids from el Valle and Cabuya, also known as APROVACA, is an orchid conservation center. They display over 100 beautiful orchids, most of which are native to Panama. It is one of the few places where Panama’s national flower, the Holy Spirit orchid, is grown. In the greenhouse dedicated exclusively to preserving this endangered flower, every plant that grows has a sponsor. In the garden you can see many other unique species of orchids, such as the Vanilla orchid (vanilla is actually an orchid!), Slipper orchids, Oncidium, and many miniature species. It is an incredible place to learn about the rich and unique flora of Panama.
    • El Níspero Zoo
One of the most popular attractions in El Valle de Antón, this zoo has more than 90 species of animals and a wide variety of native and exotic plants. In El Níspero you can find animals such as monkeys, toucans, ostriches, and even jaguars. It is an ideal plan to go with the little ones in the house.
    • Amphibian Conservation Center
EVACC is a Panamanian non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of amphibians that are in danger of extinction, including the famous golden frog. The mission of this foundation is to conserve amphibians, educate the public on how they can help, and raise awareness about the plight of frogs throughout the world. Visit the center to see the golden frogs and learn more about Panama’s incredible variety of frogs.
